Our story

Welcome to

Borgo del Sole

A place where history and nature intertwine to create a truly unique experience.

Once the residence of the Bishop of Lecce, the borgo dates back to the 17th century and is nestled within over 5,000 square meters of lush land and ancient forest. Here, every stone tells a story: from the majestic Grande Trullo, a symbol of local architecture, to the evocative Casa delle Api, once a center for honey production.

The seven stone cottages that surround the trulli are silent witnesses of a past rich in tradition and hard work. Each structure has been carefully restored to preserve its historical charm while offering all the comforts of modern living. As you stroll through the borgo, you’ll come across ancient ovens, paths immersed in nature, and unique corners where time seems to have stood still. Our heritage is not just a journey through history — it’s an invitation to immerse yourself in the culture and traditions of Salento, for a truly authentic and unforgettable experience.
